Cosmetic Gels
Besides for manufacture of emulsions, magnetic technology can also be used for the production of gels. Gels contain polymers, like carbomers, in a water phase. Classically high-shear mixers are used to make gels. But the disadvantage is that the polymers are partly broken down by the shear forces and therefore are less effective. Dissolving the polymers is also often a difficult and lengthy process. By using magnetic powder dissolving technology, gels can be efficiently manufactured on an industrial level without damaging molecules.
