SLES dilution
Sodium Laureth Sulphate or SLES is a high active surfactant that finds applications in cosmetic and household care sectors. It is extensively used due to the fact that it is inexpensive yet very effective. Industrial suppliers of SLES offer 2 concentrations: concentrated SLES (70 wt% in water) and diluted SLES (27 wt% in water).
Most small and medium producers order diluted SLES, which is liquid and easily handleable. Producers who need large quantities of SLES, usually order the concentrated SLES to minimize transport and storage costs. This concentrated SLES is then diluted to be used in the production process. The problems with concentrated SLES are its gel-like properties and tendency to form lumps when incorrectly diluted.
After extensive tests, magnets for emulsions developed an installation for the dilution of SLES. We offer both a manually operated batch installation and a fully automated continuous installation. Both installations are characterised by their low investment cost and high technical performance.
